Sueselbeck rushed to hospital after being blocked from leaving
MANILA, Philippines—Authorities barred the German fiancé of slain Filipino transgender Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude from leaving the country Sunday evening after the Bureau of Immigration (BI) filed an undesirability case against him.
The incident at Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s departure area where immigration personnel confronted Marc Sueselbeck also resulted in the German losing consciousness. He was rushed to Makati Medical Center (MMC) where he was reported to be suffering from high blood pressure.
He had been scheduled to board a Malaysian Airlines FLIGHT TO Kuala Lumpur en route to his home country of Germany when immigration personnel barred his way and told him to report to the Bureau’s Legal Division on Monday.

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima, in a text message, clarified that Sueselbeck was not technically arrested but was instead prevented from leaving on account of a pending undesirability case against him which he has to answer.
Aside from being put on the BI’s watchlist, he will also be furnished a copy of the charge sheet, she said.
The Bureau is authorized to declare foreigners in the country as “undesirable” and deport them. The foreigner in question can dispute such a declaration.
